Valet/Laundry Attendant – Part Time – Toronto, ON

Are you ready to take the next big step in your culinary career? Four Seasons Hotel Toronto is looking for a Valet/Laundry Attendant!

The Valet Attendant is an integral part of the Laundry & Valet Team who collectively is responsible for the meticulous upkeep of all linens used throughout the hotel as well as the detailed dry cleaning of our guests clothing. The Valet Attendant is responsible for the pressing and the dry cleaning of our guests’ clothes and other items per their particular requests as well as the sorting, loading and unloading of our industrial wash machines. In addition, the Valet Attendant is responsible for the operation of sorter/dryer and is responsible for the proper sorting and drying of all washed linen. The Valet Attendant is responsible for the Folder which involves the pressing, ironing and folding of all linens for their preparation to be used in the hotel. They must be familiar with sizes and classifications of the various types of linen the hotel uses and informs the Laundry Manager of torn or damaged linen. The Valet Attendant is responsible for the pickup and delivery of all dry cleaning requests.

We are looking for individuals who possess a high level of attention to detail and a strong work ethic. The ability to multitask and prioritize is also essential for this position. The ability to use all dry cleaning and pressing equipment to clean each and every guest request to Four Seasons standards is required. As this role involves direct contact with guests, strong communication skills and command of the English language are required. Strong computer skills are required to process and log each guest item. The individual must also be comfortable around industrial size Wash and Dry machines and have the ability to learn the operation. The Valet Attendant position is physical by nature and requires the applicant to be able to lift at least 50lbs. Repetitive motion and movements are essential functions of this position. The ability to safely utilize the proper cleaning chemicals is also required. The Valet Attendant is in direct contact with the entire Laundry/Valet team and strong communication skills are essential.

Additional Skills & Abilities preferred

  • 1-2 years previous Housekeeping/Laundry Valet experience in a fast-paced Hotel operation
  • Exceptional communication skills and command of English language
  • Additional language a definite asset for career growth
