Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum may have played potential lovers in “The Lost City,” but both stars are trying to forget the time they met each other at their children’s preschool.
Tatum first met Bullock when he tagged along with a friend to her birthday party. Years later, they reconnected as parents at a preschool principal’s office.
“We were called in together because Everly and Laila were trying to alpha the other one out, and we prayed it was the other’s child that caused damage,” Bullock revealed in a joint interview with Tatum for The New York Times.
“I’ve blocked it all out,” Tatum, 41, joked. “There’s some PTSD attached to it,” the 57-year-old actress added of the preschool “drama.”
However, that’s all water under the bridge now, as Bullock’s daughter Laila, 10, and Tatum’s daughter Everly, 8, have got a chance to bond during the filming of “The Lost City.”
“That’s the reason we did this film, so they could have one long, Covid-safe play date. We even brought motorbikes down there. All we cared about is that Everly and Laila were just having the time of their lives,” Bullock explained.
Earlier this month, the mom-of-two revealed she was taking a break from her acting career in order to be “in the place that makes me happiest,” Entertainment Tonight reported.
“I take my job very seriously when I’m at work,” the “Bird Box” actor said, adding that it is a “24/7” job. “And I just want to be 24/7 with my babies and my family. That’s where I’m gonna be for a while.”
Bullock said she didn’t know how long she was going to take a hiatus, but she arrived at the decision because of the amount of time she had to spend away from her kids while working on a project.
“Because of my job I have to go away for long chunks during the day. I take them everywhere, but that’s a 15-hour day and then you come home and if you’re producing you’re on calls,” she told “Good Morning America.”
“The Lost City” will hit the theaters this Friday.
