YOUR ROLE IN OUR TEAM

Reporting to the maintenance manager, the maintenance supervisor oversees the team as well as the work carried out in the field. The successful candidate ensures the scheduling, the compliance of maintenance activities with quality standards, the establishment of priorities in collaboration with the planner, and the completion of improvement projects with the support of the continuous improvement engineer. The maintenance supervisor’s actions and decision‑making must be aligned with strategies to increase the reliability of the equipment and in compliance with OHS and environmental standards.

  • Ensuring compliance with the production schedule;
  • Enforcing quality standards for all maintenance work;
  • Assessing the urgency of works in order to prioritize execution in a planned and scheduled mode;
  • Promoting the use of problem-solving techniques;
  • Actively participating in the planning and coordination of major shutdowns with the Planner and Reliability Specialist;
  • Managing a team of mechanic helpers, electromechanical technicians, building mechanics, and automation technicians;
  • Overseeing shift changes and ensuring the proper transfer of information between the teams;
  • Acting as a leader in OHS and the environment.

THE SKILLS WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Your Education :

  • Diploma of vocational studies in electromechanical technicians or any other relevant experience

Your Knowledge :

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position;
  • Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written;
  • Knowledge of the Office suite;
  • Experience with Poka, Guide Ti or other maintenance software (an asset);
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing processes (an asset).

Your Skills and Abilities :

  • Daytime schedule with occasional variations depending on the work schedule and production emergencies;
  • Availability to respond to emergency calls;

  • Mandatory valid driver’s licence.
