Customer Service Representative – Ottawa, ON

EBlock is an online vehicle auction where vehicles are bought and sold in 60 seconds. Our technology gives automotive dealers the opportunity to inspect and sell vehicles in a live online auction from their own dealership. EBlock currently hosts two types of auctions: In the first, dealers are able to launch and load auctions at the time of vehicle appraisal. The second enables dealers to sell fresh trades or aged inventory. At EBlock, we are constantly innovating to adapt to today’s automotive dealer’s needs. Summary

Please note: This position is fully-remote. The Customer Service Representative, or CSR, will act as a liaison, provide product/services information and resolve any emerging problems that our customer accounts might face with accuracy and efficiency. The best CSRs are genuinely excited to help customers. A CSR in this role should ideally possess skills such as empathy and effective communication. Administrative and clerical customer service-oriented tasks will be an essential part of this role.


Please Note: The hours for this position will be Monday – Friday from 8:30-5:00 to help cover all time zones.


What You Will Do:

  • Answer incoming calls and customer service inquiries received by email
  • Perform day to day transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording data in various tracking systems
  • Maintain customer records by updating account information.
  • General administrative duties and filing
  • Maintain a strong customer relationship through regular verbal and written communication and provide timely identification and resolution of issues.

What You Will Need:

  • 3 years’ experience in Customer Service position
  • Bilingual, French and English preferred
  • Experience in the car auction business an asset
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong customer service skills and telephone manner
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
