Can The Rams Repeat? Bills, Chiefs Favored For NFL Championship

After beating the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVI, the Los Angeles Rams will try to become the first team to successfully repeat as NFL champions in 18 years. L.A. is considered to be among the best teams for the 2022 season, but they are not the favorites to win next year’s Super Bowl.

The Super Bowl 2023 odds start with the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills. The AFC teams are the very early co-favorites at DraftKings Sportsbook with +750 odds apiece.

Los Angeles is third in the NFL and leads all NFC teams with +1000 Super Bowl 2023 odds. The Rams have made the playoffs in four of the last five years with two Super Bowl appearances during that span.

Quarterback Matthew Stafford and Super Bowl MVP Cooper Kupp should be back for the Rams. Three-time Defensive Player of the Year Aaron Donald has indicated that he might retire.

Kansas City defeated Buffalo 42-36 in the divisional playoffs, winning one of the most exciting football games of all time. Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen combined to throw for 707 yards, seven touchdowns, and no interceptions. Each quarterback rushed for at least 68 yards.

The Chiefs have hosted the AFC Championship Game in four straight years. Kansas City blew a 21-3 lead against the Bengals, who nearly upset the Rams in the Super Bowl. Cincinnati has +1400 Super Bowl 2023 odds.

Joe Burrow will only be entering his third season next year. The quarterback finished second in the regular season with a 108.3 passer rating. Cincinnati won the AFC North with a 10-7 record after going 6-25-1 in the last two seasons.

The Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers also have +1400 odds to win the championship. San Francisco upset Dallas in the wild-card round before losing to Los Angeles 20-17 in the NFC Championship Game. The Cowboys had the No. 1 offense in the regular season.

The Green Bay Packers (+1600) are the only other NFL team with better than 20/1 Super Bowl 2023 odds. It’s still uncertain if Aaron Rodgers will return to Green Bay for another season.

Cincinnati made the Super Bowl despite starting the season with worse than 100/1 odds to win the championship. The Houston Texans (+15000), New York Jets (+15000), and Detroit Lions (+15000) find themselves in that situation for the 2022 season.
