Bucks overpower Bulls, advance to second round of NBA playoffs

The Milwaukee Bucks have advanced to the second round of the NBA playoffs, defeating the Chicago Bulls, 116-100, in Game 5 to claim the best-of-seven series 4-1.

The game was largely decided before the final quarter even began, with the Bucks holding a 91-68 lead, as their strategy to go all-in on stopping DeMar DeRozan — and challenging other Bulls to make open shots instead when he passed — paid consistent dividends.

Milwaukee will face the Boston Celtics, who swept the Brooklyn Nets in their first-round matchup, in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

More to come.
