If there’s one season that makes us want a breath of fresh air in our beauty routine, it’s spring!
As the degrees rise and the days get longer, we want to add a touch of colour and brightness to our looks.
Spring 2022 is shaping up to be a bright one. The trend is fresh and original makeup, but also awareness of the importance of self-care. We combine having fun with beauty while taking care of ourselves.
Here are 8 must-have beauty trends for spring 2022:
Skincare is becoming an increasingly important part of our rituals, and has been since the pandemic began. To take our routine up a notch, we’re adding tools! These are used to massage the face to promote circulation and lymphatic drainage.
2. THE METALLIC
Metallic tones are all the rage in 2022! Gold, silver and bronze will be everywhere, both in eyeshadow and in shimmering eyeliner. Don’t hesitate to mix shades, even those that you thought were forbidden together, like glittering gold and shining silver.
3. THE NEGATIVE SPACE MANICURE
Getting an elaborate manicure with designs at home is not always easy. This year, the trend is for empty spaces. So we start with a bare nail, or a varnish of a natural shade, and add details or lines of colour on top. This allows us to express our unique work of art and claim our creative license!
4. THE GLOSSY MOUTH
We always like to bring out our brightly coloured lipsticks for spring. This year, we’re trading in our matte textures for shiny, moisturizing tubes. We’re turning to lip glosses, balms and even lip oils, but tinted!
5. THE INTENSE BLUSH
Blush is an easy way to add sunshine to your face. This spring, we’re wearing it high on the cheekbone and even stretching it to the temple. This halo of colour gives you a healthy glow and you can match the blush to your lipstick.
6. THE COLOURED LINER
Makeup is increasingly used as a way to express creativity. However, not all of us have the artistic talent to reproduce looks worthy of the Euphoria series! For a beauty look that seems elaborate, but is easily achieved, we highlight the roots of our lashes with a coloured pencil. It’s that simple!
7. LUMINOUS SKIN
In recent years, masking foundation has given way to less covering products, and it’s still going strong. For a luminous complexion, we start with a moisturizing base, then we correct with a concealer or a tinted cream, and we finish with an illuminator on the highest points of the face.
8. NATURAL EYEBROWS
After the microbrows of the 1990s and 2000s, we’ve seen very full eyebrows in recent years. In 2022, we opt for a middle ground, a natural eyebrow that doesn’t stray too far from our arch. We can fill in the gaps with a pencil and comb them upwards with a gel, but without going overboard.
